After two and a half month of various vineyard work and hostel living in Hastings, I am ready to leave and see something exciting! Nevertheless, I will miss the warm, relaxed atmosphere, my funny fellow workers and the cozy party weekends…

Nach zweieinhalb Monaten verschiedener Weingutsarbeit und Hostelleben in Hastings bin ich bereit zu gehen und etwas spannendes zu sehen! Nichtsdestotrotz werde ich die warme, entspannte Atmosphaere, meine lustigen Arbeitskollegen und die heimeligen Feier-Wochenenden vermissen…

The jobs were raking the dirt flat, moving wires from one plastic clip to another and sticking bamboo in the ground, but mostly planting new vines.

Die Arbeit beinhaltete Dreck glatt harken, Draete von einem Plastik-Haken auf einen anderen spannen und Bambusstaebe in den Boden stecken, aber hauptsaechlich neue Weinpflanzen pflanzen.

The rest of my time was spent on TV evenings, a bit of reading and using the hostel guitar and not much more. Hastings is not exactly buzzing with life and entertainment… I am glad I had amazing fellow backpackers!

Den Rest der Zeit habe ich mit Fernsehabenden, ein wenig Lesen und Hostel-Gitarren Benutzung verbracht, nicht viel mehr. Hastings strotzt nicht gerade von Leben und Unterhaltung… Ich bin froh dass ich wunderbare Mitbackpacker hatte!

And now, I will have a trip across the North Island before I fly home at the 15th of September.
